Elmar Gasimov participates in opening ceremony of SSSCIS’s training program

An opening ceremony of the training program on “New AI-powered cyber defense techniques for wireless communications”, a joint project of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security (SSSCIS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Istanbul Technical University, has been held.

Speaking at the event, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Elmar Gasimov emphasized the importance of the training program.

“This program is an important opportunity for our students, and it will play an important role in further increasing the success of Azerbaijan in the digital field. The student-team of Baku Higher Oil School won first place in the cybersecurity competition held at TECHNOFEST. For the sixth year already, our university’s specialty “Information Security” has been declared the Specialty of the Year in our country.”

In his speech, Elmar Gasimov emphasized the importance of a strong teaching staff, modern educational programs and specific goals for the full realization of the students' potential. The rector stressed that the training on “New AI-powered cyber defense techniques for wireless communications” played a key role in the creation of the golden triangle, which provides cooperation between industry, research and universities.

The event was attended by Head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev, Head of TUBITAK BILGEM Center Ali Gorcin, and others.
