BHOS winning teams awarded at TEKNOFEST 2024

The teams “BHOSWARE” and “Dərbəndqala – BHOS” from the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) of SOCAR were awarded at the TEKNOFEST-2024 festival.

The President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan also attended the award ceremony held in the city of Adana in a brother country.

The team “BHOSWARE” secured the top position in the CTF competition under the "Hackmasters" category, held during the festival in Antalya, Turkey.

The team’s scientific supervisor, Nihat Alili, is a lecturer at the Information Technology Department. The team members include 5th-year Information Security students: Ali Maharramli, Mahammadjan Mahammadjanov, Sahib Humbatzade, and Ogtay Ahmadov.

The “BHOSWARE” team was awarded a prize of 150 000 TL.

Our representatives were selected out of 1,000 registered teams and emerged victorious among the 10 teams that reached the final.

The team “Dərbəndqala – BHOS” took the second place in the nomination “Social Innovation in Technology for Humanity”.

The team’s scientific supervisor is Emilia Akhmedova, a senior engineer at the BHOS Innovation and Research Centre. The team consists of 4th year students of the speciality “Automation of technological processes” Zahid Abdullayev, Rena Isayeva, Ravan Khydyrov and 4th year student of the speciality “Business Administration” Murad Aliyev.

The team “Dərbəndqala – BHOS” reached the final with the highest score in its category (97 points), and won the second place in TEKNOFEST, scoring 86.31 points in the final.

It should be noted that the team “Dərbəndqala – BHOS” was the only foreign team to reach the final of its category.

The BHOS team was awarded a prize of 50,000 TL.
