BHOS Strengthens Collaboration with NGOs to Drive Sustainable Development in 2023-2024

Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) continues to strengthen its collaborations with leading non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to drive development and innovation. Through these partnerships, BHOS aims to foster sustainable growth, enhance educational opportunities, and contribute to community development initiatives. 

An educational seminar on the fight against drug addiction was held at the Baku Higher Oil School (HOS). Vasif Guliyev, Senior Advisor of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, and Bullur Mammadova, Chairman of "Youth Anti-Drug Addiction" Public Union, spoke. They called on everyone to be active in the fight against drug addiction and psychotropic substances among young people. 

"Education Center for Youth" organized a meeting with students at the Baku Higher Oil School within the framework of the Students' Public Listening Platform. Valuable professors, Gulu Muharramli and Adalat Tahirzadeh, who are among the best knowers and researchers of the history of the Republic, conveyed the details of history to our students with great enthusiasm. Knowing, understanding and appreciating this glorious history creates the foundation for becoming a decent person and a responsible citizen. 

National Assembly of the Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (NAYORA) presented its Young Ambassadors Program at Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS). The program, which is implemented with organizational support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, aims at formation of a special group of young people who are capable and worthy to represent Azerbaijan in the international arena decently. 

 Head of the Young Ambassadors Program, Secretary for International Relations of NAYORA Ilhama Gasimzadeh made a presentation at the meeting, which gathered about 100 BHOS undergraduates. At the beginning, a video about the program was shown. Ilhama Gasimzadeh told about the project objectives, tasks, strategy and rules of participation. As she informed, those Higher School’s students participating in the program will gain deeper knowledge about political, social, economic and cultural life of the country. 

Info session of the non –governmental organization Student Cooperation Public Union was held. 132 students participated in the session. They were informed about the process of joining the organization, the advantages of volunteering, future projects, international cooperation, and the works carried out in this direction, fun and interactive games were held among the students.

"Debate School" training was held at the Baku Higher Oil School organized by the "Debate Club" and supported by the non-governmental organization  Debate Civil Society Public Union. During the 4-day training, the professional trainers of Debate Civil Society informed the students about the rules and principles of debate, its role and importance in our daily life. At the end of the interactive training, active students were awarded with special certificates.
