Baku Higher Oil School Expands 'Ladies Lead' Program with New Mentoring Initiative
Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) is proud to announce the expansion of its 'Ladies Lead' program, which began in 2023 with the goal of empowering female students by connecting them with successful women leaders across various industries. Now, the program is further strengthened by the introduction of a peer-mentoring component, where senior female students and graduates will mentor lower-year female students.
The 'Ladies Lead' program, together with its new mentoring direction, aligns closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 5 on Gender Equality and SDG 4 on Quality Education. By fostering leadership skills, confidence, and networking opportunities among women, the program actively contributes to promoting gender equality within the university and beyond.
This initiative plays a vital role in cultivating a more inclusive and supportive academic environment. Through this mentorship, participants not only gain invaluable professional insights but also build lasting relationships that enhance their academic and personal growth. By equipping our female students with the tools, resources, and role models they need to succeed, BHOS reinforces its commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive community, where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Since its inception in 2023, the 'Ladies Lead' program has aimed to empower female students and provide them with a platform to connect, grow, and become leaders. The peer-mentoring approach is designed to provide personalized guidance, helping mentees navigate the challenges of university life while encouraging them to become leaders in their own right.
This mentorship program reflects BHOS’s commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion, solidarity, and shared growth, contributing to a sustainable future by empowering the next generation of women leaders.
BHOS invites all students to engage in the 'Ladies Lead' program and its mentoring initiative, where future leaders are made.
