Elmar Gasimov joins III National Cyber Security Forum
The III National Cyber Security Forum dedicated to the "Green World Solidarity Year" has been held in Baku. The event was organized by the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA), with the main partnership of Azerconnect Group.
A panel titled "Cybersecurity Education and Human Resources" was held within the framework of the forum, with the participation of more than 350 experts.
Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov spoke at the panel held in question-and-answer format. Elmar Gasimov said that graduates of universities that do not cooperate with the labor market will face serious problems in finding a job.
"The Ministry of Science and Education has given full freedom to universities in this regard. As envisaged in our program, starting from the second year, BHOS students take part in internship programs during the summer months. Then they report and receive credits. Thereby, our students find a job while still being in the 5th year of study. We are not interacting with the labor market, but as a higher education institution of SOCAR, we are inside the labor market and industrial production process".
The main goal of the forum was to hold joint discussions with representatives and experts from institutions, organizations, companies, and partner countries that contribute to the development of the cyber security ecosystem.
