bp Vice-President visits Baku Higher Oil School

Vice-President for Social Sustainability of bp Tural Valiyev, Head of bp AGT Social Investment Khalid Rajabov and Social Investment Manager for Azerbaijan at bp Babek Hamidov have visited the Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS).

First, the guests toured the university campus. They viewed the laboratories and familiarized themselves with modern teaching conditions created there.

BHOS Vice-Rector for Education and Scientific Affairs Sevda Zargarova informed the bp representatives about the history of establishment of Baku Higher Oil School and the specialties taught at the university. She noted that BHOS has managed to gain great reputation within a short span of its existence.

“The number of students has increased, and new specialties have been opened here over the past years. Thanks to this reputation, highest-scoring applicants choose Baku Higher Oil School, where they acquire high-quality knowledge and grow as professionals.”

Touching on the cooperation with bp, the Vice-Rector stressed that the company is one of the closest partners of BHOS.

“During these years, successful cooperation has been continued and a number of projects have been implemented. BHOS students undertake internships at bp every year, and a lot of BHOS graduates work in various positions at the company.”

bp Vice-President for Social Sustainability Tural Valiyev praised highly the infrastructure and modern laboratories created at Baku Higher Oil School. He said that the university provides high-quality education that meets international standards. The Vice-President emphasized that BP is interested in cooperation with Baku Higher Oil School, and it is important to continue cooperation.

The sides also exchanged views regarding the prospects of future cooperation.
