The winners of the knowledge competition dedicated to the memory of the martyred teacher were awarded at Baku Higher Oil School
The Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS) has hosted an awarding ceremony of the winners of the biology competition dedicated to the memory of the martyred biology teacher Tural Rahimov, which was held among the 7/8th grade high school students.
The event was attended by the family members of the martyr, the representatives of Jalilabad District Executive Power and Ministry of Defense, veteran teachers, school principals, the parents and teachers of the winning students, and other guests.
The ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and commemoration of the memory of the martyrs with a minute of silence.
Then, a short film about the martyr Tural Rahimov was shown.
Opening the ceremony, Khayal Ibrahimzade, director of Global Olympic Center, organizer of the biology competition, welcomed the participants and thanked them for their support to the event. He stressed that such projects will continue to be implemented in future.
Speaking at the event, the martyr's father, Arif Rahimov, expressed his gratitude to the organizers and talked about his son's passion for science and his devotion to the motherland. Arif Rahimov wished the winning students to always love their motherland as Tural did and to use their knowledge to the benefit of their country.
In his speech, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov expressed respect to the memory of the martyr. He stressed that it is gratifying that the memory of Tural Rahimov is being commemorated at BHOS and that students from different regions are being awarded at this university. He proposed to hold the knowledge competition dedicated to the memory of the martyr every year at BHOS.
The event continued with the speeches of other guests.
After the speeches, the winners were awarded. They were presented with various prizes, including a medal and a shirt specially made in memory of the martyr.
