Two projects of SOCAR's Baku Higher Oil School win grant from KOBIA
The "Agroefficient" and "Ateshgah" projects of the Center for Innovation and Research of SOCAR's Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) has won the III Grant competition announced by KOBIA.
Baku Higher Oil School had presented three projects to the competition, where 13 projects won grants.
A total of approximately 40,000 manats were allocated to the two projects of BHOS.
The "Agroficient" project was awarded a grant in the amount of 19,900 manats. The project envisages the development of smart water-storage material for increasing irrigation efficiency in agriculture, which is one of the important factors for the development of agriculture, and providing support to farmers in this area. The project was developed by Farad Kamyabi, director of BHOS Center for Innovation and Research, Malik Sultanov and Emil Huseynli, third-year students of Petroleum Engineering.
The "Ateshgah" project was awarded a grant in the amount of 20,000 manats. The project envisages the use of new materials for cooling solar panels, which will significantly increase the efficiency of their application. The project was developed by Fatima Mammadova, Faig Aliyev, Farid Aliyev and Fuad Taghiyev, fourth-year students of Chemical Engineering.
Farad Kamyabi, director of BHOS Center for Innovation and Research, was the research supervisor of the projects. Elmar Askarzade was the manager of the projects.
