BHOS graduate discovers vulnerabilities in Linux Operating System

Sanan Hasanov, a 2022 graduate of the “Process Automation Engineering” specialty of Baku Higher Oil School, who is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Cyber Security at the University of Central Florida, has discovered two critical vulnerabilities in the Linux Operating System.

He discovered these vulnerabilities using a program he wrote in just 5 months.

The leadership of the University of Central Florida, the Cybersecurity Laboratory and Linux programmers expressed their gratitude and congratulations to Sanan Hasanov.

It should be noted that Sanan Hasanov was enrolled in the Ph.D. program of the U.S. university immediately after completing his undergraduate studies at Baku Higher Oil School. He was awarded a scholarship in the amount of more than 100 thousand US dollars. Sanan entered BHOS in 2017 with 685 points.
