President of SOCAR Rovshan Najaf presents ‘Progress’ medal to teacher of Baku Higher Oil School

The ceremony of presenting orders and medals to oil industry workers who have been awarded for their merits in the development of the oil industry by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated September 19, 2022 has been held.

Siyavush Azakov, a teacher at Baku Higher Oil School, professor of Petroleum Engineering Department, is among those awarded for their merits in the development of the oil industry in Azerbaijan. He has been awarded the “Progress” medal.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf greeted the audience and said that, as in all sectors in our country, oil and gas workers are always surrounded by the attention and care of the head of state. SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf noted that the awarding of oil workers at the state level - a procedure founded by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, which has become a good tradition, - is a manifestation of the high appreciation of their persistent and selfless work. Congratulating all the awarded oil workers, Rovshan Najaf expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the oil workers of Azerbaijan to the head of state, who always pays special attention to their activities and the development of the oil and gas industry.
