‘INPEX’ company has started training at Baku Higher Oil School with the participation of ‘Waseda’ University
SOCAR and Japan's largest oil and gas production and processing company "INPEX" have started the next “Composite-thermal layer simulation” training at SOCAR's Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS).
The training is held within the framework of long-term cooperation between SOCAR and "INPEX" company.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov welcomed the guests and expressed his satisfaction with the fact that BHOS was hosting such an event. The rector emphasized that the participation of young BHOS teachers in trainings will have a positive effect on their activities. Elmar Gasimov also stressed that cooperation between Baku Higher Oil School and the Japanese "Waseda" University was desirable.
Chief Geologist of SOCAR Arzu Javadova said that the company had been cooperating with INPEX since 2016. She said that so far, 60 students and 32 employees had participated in trainings within the framework of this cooperation. Arzu Javadova thanked the BHOS leadership for the warm hospitality and emphasized the importance of continuing the trainings.
Masanori Kurihara, a professor at “Waseda” University and a seminar trainer, said that topics for the seminars had been specially selected and the seminars would be conducted in an interactive form. He noted that the topics for the seminars were selected for their relevance to modern times.
Representative of SOCAR’s Head Office Elvin Ahmadov and representative of INPEX company Kohei Terajima wished success to the participants and expressed hope that they would benefit from these trainings.
It should be noted that a total of 14 employees of the SOCAR’s Head Office, "Azneft" Production Union, the Oil and Gas Research and Design Institute and
4 employees of the Petroleum Engineering Department of BHOS are participating in the trainings. 6 students of “Waseda” University are also participating in the 10-day trainings.
