Student of Baku Higher Oil School takes part in U.S. international symposium
Elnur Askarov, a fourth-year student of the Petroleum Engineering Department of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and a member of the BHOS Student Chapter of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, participated in the SEG/Chevron Student Leadership Symposium and the SEG 2022 Annual Meeting held in the United States.
He is one of 50 students from around the world who represented their student chapters and countries at these international scientific events.
The BHOS student got the chance to participate in this international program thanks to his successful participation in the university’s academic and social life during the 2021-2022 year.
At the event, Elnur Askarov made a presentation on the activities of the BHOS Student Chapter of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
At the symposium, professional engineers from the Chevron multinational company conducted training on topics such as Leadership, Overcoming Challenges, and Uncertainty.
Elnur Askarov also participated in the “IMAGE - International Meeting for applied geoscience and energy” conference in Houston, the exhibition where new technologies related to the field of geophysics and oil and gas industry were demonstrated, and panel sessions of professors and geophysicists from different countries.
