Baku Higher Oil School hosts ‘Say NO to Drug Addiction’ event
Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) has hosted an event called "Say NO to Drug Addiction", which was dedicated to June 26 - International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Speaking at the event, Head of the Career and Student Affairs Department Emil Aslanli said that drug addiction, which the whole world is struggling with, has become a big problem for humanity. “Therefore, it is important to always keep this issue under public control and to raise young people's awareness of dangers of drug addiction.
Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party`s Youth Union Fasli Nabiyev provided the event participants with information about illegal drugs, their harmful influence on human life and society, and preventive measures taken against the spread of drug abuse.
BHOS lawyer Turkan Gurbanli spoke about the legislative acts adopted in this field in Azerbaijan.
Mirkamil Kazimzade, an employee of the "LOGOS" Psychological and Speech Development Center, spoke about the harm drug addiction causes to health, the mental, psychological, and physiological consequences of bad habits.
The event continued with a question and answer session on the topic.
