Tarlan Omarbayli is a 4th year student of Baku Higher Oil School, majoring in Information Security.
He studied in Schmalkalden University in Germany under the Erasmus+ exchange program between April and August 2021.
Tarlan says that participation in the exchange program was a decisive step in his life.
“Erasmus+ allowed me to assert the desire to know different cultures, mentalities, and lifestyles. Moreover, it is a process of having a common sharing of an unforgettable experience that remains etched in our memories. During my stay in Schmalkalden, I met both local Germans and international students from other parts of the world and made new friends. It made me very happy and proud to represent my culture and values there, and at the same time, to get acquainted with other cultures.”
During his participation in the program, Tarlan, along with getting closely acquainted with the city of Schmalkalden, had the opportunity to travel to other German cities, such as Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Cologne, as well as cities of nearby countries, such as Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam. During this time, he also tried to study German culture and develop his German language skills.
