BHOS team wins SPE Competition

The Student Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers of Baku Higher Oil School (SPE BHOS Student Chapter) has reached the final of SPE Membership Competition.     

The team of Baku Higher Oil School took part in this competition, which is held annually among more than 400 world student organizations, and for the first time won the title of finalist. Thus, the BHOS entered the list of 20 universities in the world that became eligible for membership.  

On this occasion, 2022 SPE President Kamel Ben-Naceur sent a congratulatory letter to the SPE BHOS team. In his letter, Mr. Kamel Ben-Naceur said that the SPE BHOS team fully met the requirements for membership. He also praised the team’s performance.

The SPE BHOS team includes of the following students: Taliya Mammadhasanzade, Vagif Mammadzade, Afag Hashimova, Farid Huseynli, Khalid Orujov, Isa Rufullazade, Ayshan Zulfiyeva, Shamsi Mursalli, Zahrakhanim Aliyeva, Almaz Heydarova, Nijat Safaraliyev, Huseyn Abizade, Gulustan Karimova, Farhad Agayev, Medina Ziyadkhanova, Firuza Azizova.

Note that the membership eligibility requirements for the competition, which is held during the first quarter of the academic year, include such criteria as the number of members enlisted by the organization; competitions, courses and field trips organized the organization; the support provided by the organization for the development of its members.
