BHOS third year students on petroleum engineering Aida Soltanova and Mustafa Asgarov participated in summer practical course 2015 on geology at BP Caspian Center office, July 31 – August 15.

 

During the mentioned course oversea and local specialists conducted workshops and presentations on sedimentology and structural geology for students. Students were able to be informed and get assignment on structural geology, plate tectonics, geodynamics, methods of geological deposits, cartographic description of fields, sediment formation in rivers, deltas and lakes. In frames of summer course BHOS students together with other participants visited various geological sites.

 

During the course students learned principles of field geology with the use of models. Upon completion of the course BHOS students received certificates.
