Baku Higher Oil School, AzerGold CJSC sign cooperation agreement

Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and “AzerGold” Closed Joint-Stock Company have signed an agreement on mutual cooperation.
The document was signed by Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov and Chairman of the Executive Board of “AzerGold” CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov.
The agreement provides for research, exploration and evaluation of ore deposits of non-ferrous and ferrous metals in the country on the basis of mutual agreement, production, processing and sale of precious metals, joint development and implementation of concepts for training qualified personnel for the application of new technologies in this area.
The document also provides for the involvement of BHOS students in industrial practice, research activities and project work.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov noted that BHOS effectively cooperates with many local and transnational companies and enterprises.
He stressed that relations between Baku Higher Oil School and companies are especially important in terms of BHOS students’ participation in industrial practice and BHOS graduates’ employment at these companies.
Highly assessing the successful activity of “AzerGold” CJSC within a short period of time, the rector expressed satisfaction with the creation of the necessary conditions in “AzerGold” CJSC for BHOS students to undergo practical training and for BHOS graduates to get employment at this company.
Chairman of the Executive Board of “AzerGold” CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov noted that “AzerGold” CJSC closely cooperates with a number of higher educational institutions and scientific organizations operating in Azerbaijan in order to strengthen its base of professional personnel capable of ensuring the sustainable development of the company.
“To date, ‘AzerGold’ CJSC has signed cooperation documents with 7 universities. In addition, last year ‘AzerGold’ CJSC signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of vocational education with the State Agency for Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education. In accordance with agreements signed with universities, 133 engineering students underwent an internship at the Chovdar ore processing site.‘AzerGold’ CJSC certificates were awarded to students and graduates who successfully completed internships in the respective fields. 11 distinguished graduates received permanent employment,” Zakir Ibrahimov added.
Employees of the relevant departments of BHOS and “AzerGold” CJSC also took part in the event.
