Nihad Abbasov, a graduate of the Petroleum Engineering Department of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), was announced "Successful Student of the Year" by the "Universities of Azerbaijan" webpage for the successes he had achieved during his study at BHOS.

 

Nihad Abbasov graduated with honors from the rural secondary school named after Isa Mammadov of Qubadli region in 2015. During his school years, he became the winner of various city olympiads, and was also a prize-winner of the International Environmental Project Olympiad (INEPO) and the “Scientists of the Future” competition.

 

He scored the maximum score of 700 points in the entrance exam for the 2015/2016 academic year and was awarded a Presidential Scholarship. Nihad Abbasov remained a presidential scholar until the end of his studies at the Higher School, which he graduated with honors this year.

 

While studying at BHOS, he also became the first holder of the scholarship named after academician Khoshbakht Yusifzade, established by SOCAR, which was awarded to him for the high results he had achieved in his studies and his active participation in the social activities of the Higher School.

 

Nihad Abbasov, who has distinguished social abilities, together with his fellow students, had repeatedly successfully represented the Higher School at local and international competitions.

 

Thanks to all these achievements, he was hired by BP before he graduated from BHOS.
