During the summer, fifty three Chemical Engineering students will take two month internship at Refinery named after Haydar Aliyev, while 25 of them will be enrolled as temporary employees and paid for the internship.

BHOS students together with the delegation headed by BHOS rector Elmar Gasimov attended the meeting held at the Refinery where the students were demonstrated a movie reflecting the history of the Refinery. Elman Ismayilov, the Director of the Refinery welcomed the delegation and said that the internship would be very helpful for the students to become professional engineers in future. He also emphasized the importance of being an oil industry worker expressing his confidence that in future BHOS students might be involved in the refinery operations as professionals. He wished the students every success during their internship.

Rector Gasimov underlined the great role the Refinery played in the history of oil industry of Azerbaijan. He recalled irreplaceable efforts made by National Leader Haydar Aliyev in construction of the plant stressing its importance for SOCAR. The Rector said that here the students would be able to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. The Rector also pointed out the significance of this internship for students in terms of developing as professional specialists. Mr. Gasimov expressed his gratitude to SOCAR and the Refinery management for offered extending his best wishes of success to the students.
