BHOS has started students' purposeful and informative internship program in order to enhance theoretical knowledge on "Petroleum Engineering", "Chemistry Engineering" and "Process Automation Engineering" specializations. Center for Protection of Human Life at sea of SOCAR Education Training and Certification Department organizes safety trainings for the 1st year of BHOS. 123 BHOS students split into 4 groups joined the trainings. Specialists of SOCAR Education Training and Certification Department conduct courses on "Familiarization, preparation and instructions on safety for the staff of stationary marine platform and floating drilling installations.

During trainings which are in line with international standards, students are instructed in details on safety measures and regulations of emergency at industry.

Gaining knowledge on security measures, ensuring safety during emergency cases, safety regulations and rendering first medical aid during the use of boats and rafts while working offshore and at hydraulic facilities, will help students in future to be ready for dangers during the work at industry. This also provides ground for educating them as experienced specialists of future.

It should also be pointed out that trainings organized in frames of agreements on cooperation between BHOS and SOCAR Education Training and Certification Department are conducted in accordance with international standards and requirements of international conventions Azerbaijan Republic is party to.

Upon completion of trainings students will be awarded by certificates of International Marine Organization. Certificates which will be awarded to students completely comprehending safety measures regulations offshore are recognized worldwide and play important role in career of future graduates.

Trainings will last between 1-9 July.
