Baku Higher Oil School hosts a meeting with representatives of Azerbaijani office of Norwegian energy company Equinor

             Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) hosted a meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijani office of the Norwegian energy company Equinor.  

 

            The meeting was attended by Communications Manager at Equinor’s representative office in Azerbaijan Alibaba Aliyev, Chief Specialist in Petroleum Physics at Equinor’s representative office in Azerbaijan Christina Hermanrud, BHOS employees and students.

 

            During the meeting, the BHOS students were informed about new projects implemented by Equinor, prospects for the future.

 

            Chief Specialist in Petroleum Physics at Equinor’s representative office in Azerbaijan Christina Hermanrud made a presentation on the topic “Future Geosteering and Well Placement Solutions From an Operator Perspective”.

 

             She spoke about the ongoing and future research activities in Equinor which will improve geosteering decisions through better real-time interpretation of ultra-deep resistivity measurements.

 

             The students were also provided with information about the system for real-time update of high resolution near-wellbore 3D models consistent with multiscale data, the newly developed in-house geosteering training simulator and the geosteering timeline, including general training and post-job model integration.
