Baku Higher Oil School hosts meeting with representative of Turkish Standards Institution in Azerbaijan
A meeting between the teachers and students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and the representative of the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) in Azerbaijan Gulkhan Yusereroglu was held at BHOS.
The main purpose of the meeting was to inform BHOS students about the importance of acquiring ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certificates by organizations.
BHOS Vice-rector for General Affairs Rashad Hasanov noted that Baku Higher Oil School, like all prestigious universities in the world, always carries out its activities in accordance with international standards and is constantly improving itself in this direction.
The representative of the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) in Azerbaijan Gulkhan Yusereroglu noted that TSE has 22 years of experience in this field.
“If an organization possesses an ISO certificate, it means that it carries out its activities at a high quality level. To achieve such quality of performance, specialists must gain the necessary experience and knowledge. To efficiently manage an organization, one should have certain knowledge in such areas as planning, implementation, control, identification and prevention of risks, etc.”
Gulkhan Yusereroglu also noted that if an organization wants to become successful, it should strive for self-improvement.
Note that Baku Higher Oil School is a holder of ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Safety and Security Management System), ISO 10002 (Quality Management – Customer Satisfaction – Guidelines for Complaints Handling in Organizations) certificates and is the only higher education institution in Azerbaijan that successfully implements these standards.
