Baku Higher Oil School hosts meeting with delegation from International Drilling Fluids

A meeting with a delegation from the company International Drilling Fluids (Great Britain) was held at Baku Higher Oil School.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to cooperation between Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and International Drilling Fluids (IDF) in the field of oil & gas engineering and chemical engineering, the exchange of specialists within this cooperation, conducting joint research activities, etc.
Dean of the BHOS Engineering Faculty Zafar Gurbanov informed the guests in detail about the history of creation of Baku Higher Oil School, school’s activities and goals, as well as about the successes achieved by the BHOS within a short period of time.
He noted that all graduates of Baku Higher Oil School are provided with jobs in well-known local and multinational companies. The dean also emphasized that many BHOS graduates participate actively in the creation of new oil and gas companies.
At the meeting, it was noted that the BHOS and International Drilling Fluids can collaborate effectively in conducting joint research activities.
Executive Director of IDF Corush Tahmasib said that it is possible to organize various laboratory courses at the company International Drilling Fluids, in which the latest innovations have been implemented, with the participation of students.
He emphasized that the main subject of mutual cooperation can be the support for joint research and laboratories.
Corush Tahmasib stressed that the IDF has extensive experience in creating laboratories according to ISO standards. He also expressed their interest in organizing trainings for BHOS employees.
Towards the end of the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the BHOS campus.
The foreign guests were provided with detailed information about the school's study rooms, multifunctional laboratories, library, conference halls and gyms.
The company International Drilling Fluids provides engineering services for drilling, development and production activities in the oil & gas industry. The company conducts practical research activities to resolve drilling issues.
