Rector Elmar Gasimov meets with first-year students of Baku Higher Oil School

             Rector of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) held a meeting with the first-year students of BHOS.

 

            At the meeting, Rector of Baku High Oil School Elmar Gasimov made acquaintance with each of the students and gave them detailed information about the State Educational Policy; the care shown by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to youth; the successes achieved by the school; the process of teaching and learning.

 

             Noting the special role of the State Youth Policy in the patriotic education of youth, providing young people with a high level of education, the rector called on young people to be first and foremost worthy citizens of their country.

 

            “Serious work has been done to turn the country's natural resources into human capital. I recommend students to use their scientific potential for the development of the republic. It is very important that young people show respect for national and moral values. Therefore, BHOS students should, along with their specialities, study in depth the native language, history and culture of the country. Excellent conditions were created at Baku Higher Oil School for students to spend their leisure time efficiently, use modern technologies and actively participate in important projects,” Elmar Gasimov said.

 

             Then the rector listened to the students’ questions, requests and suggestions regarding the various aspects of university life. Elmar Gasimov gave detailed answers to all students' questions.

 

              Note that 179 applicants who showed the highest results in the entrance exams for the first group of specialities for the 2019/2020 academic year became students of Baku Higher Oil School. 17 of them are foreign students of different nationalities.

 

               During the current academic year, 23 students of Baku Higher Oil School were awarded the Presidential Scholarship, which is the highest indicator for the first group of specialities.
