Startup of Baku Higher Oil School accepted into famous US business incubation program
The startup ThermoNorth, created by the associate professor and students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), has been accepted into the US Global Business Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) business incubation program.
The main goal of the incubation program is to attract the world’s most powerful science and technology startups to America and help them develop their business.
The project ThermoNorth will be developed at the world-famous startup centers: “The Station Houston”, located in Houston, and “WeWork”, located in Washington.
The startup idea ThermoNorth was derived from a dissertation written by Associate Professor of BHOS Amir Reza Vakhshuri. The graduates of Chemical Engineering Department of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Askerzade, Huseyn Aliyev, Murad Ragimov, Alexander Oborovsky and Yadigar Nazarov are taking part in the formation and development of the startup project.
The main objective of the project is to ensure the long-term storage of a machine engine at optimum temperature using a new energy-saving substance obtained as a result of scientific research. Since this substance has a size of micron, it is micropacked into capsules. These particles play the role of a small "energy storage".
And ensuring the storage of engine at optimum temperature currently helps to solve a number of engine-related problems, such as excessive fuel consumption, breakdown of engine parts, shortened battery life, etc., in cold-climate countries.
