Baku Higher Oil School students will work at STAR Refinery and Petkim

Six students from Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) will work at SOCAR Turkey. Rector of BHOS Elmar Gasimov pointed out that, for the time being, six positions are considered at STAR Refinery and Petkim. As a result of the selection process conducted by SOCAR Turkey, six students who are specialised in the Chemistry Engineering and Process Automation Engineering at the Higher School have been nominated for employment and will work at STAR Refinery and Petkim petrochemical complex in Turkey.

Rector informed that the Higher School pursues a strategic objective of nurturing specialists who are distinguished for gaining industrial experience and acquiring practical skills. He also stressed that the job offers received by students, who are completing their studies but have not yet graduated, prove the Higher School’s ambitious statement - “We are not job seekers. The jobs are hunting for us”. He noted that nearly 30 BHOS graduates are currently employed by STAR Refinery and Petkim.

STAR Refinery and Petkim are petrochemical entities operating in Turkey with the biggest investment made by SOCAR.
