Teachers and staff of Baku Higher Oil School were on a business trip to Romania
Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Oktay Rzayev, Dean of the Engineering Faculty Zafar Gurbanov, Head of the Department of Administrative Supervision, Records Management and General Services Affairs Nurana Javadova, Senior lecturer of the Chemistry Engineering Department Sevda Zargarova, and Senior Methodologist of the Training and Methodical Department Irada Ahmadova visited Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, Romania, within Erasmus+ Staff Week programme.
Along with the delegation from Baku Higher Oil School, meetings were held with the representatives of the energy universities from China, Turkmenistan, Russia, Serbia, Vietnam, and Moldova. During the opening ceremony of the Earsmus+ Staff Week, Vice-Rector Oktay Rzayev, in his welcoming speech, broadly informed participants about our Higher School and underscored the importance of Erasmus+ programme in sharing experience and expanding friendly relationship among higher educational institutions.
BHOS representatives met with Rector of Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti Mihai Pascu Koloja and the university’s senior management. During the meeting, Dean Zafar Gurbanov provided detailed information about BHOS and exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest. Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti Mihail Minescu noted that their four students were engaged for one semester within the Erasmus+ student mobility programme at BHOS. He mentioned that the students are excited to study at the Higher School, and conveyed gratitude for creating conducive learning conditions at BHOS. The meeting also focused on potential areas of collaboration beyond Erasmus+ programme and hence the importance and expansion of comprehensive relations with the English language-based BHOS, which is a petroleum & gas university, were specifically emphasised. An agreement has been reached on initiating joint projects and co-convening events within Erasmus+ programme as well as collaborating within a PhD programme and conducting researches.
BHOS staff visited Bucharest, the capital of Romania, met with Consul Ramiz Jafarov and Attaché Elshan Hamidov in the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania, and provided the Embassy representatives with insights into BHOS participation in Erasmus+ programme. Consul Ramiz Jafarov touched upon successful operations carried out by our Higher School and discussed a range of issues.
