SOCAR-KBR management meets with Baku Higher Oil School students

       Representatives of the management of SOCAR-KBR LLC visited Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and met with the Higher School students. The meeting was attended by BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov and key staff members, and the company top-ranking managers including Director General Alp Togay Kurum, Umid-Babek Project Director David Ellis, Absheron Project Director Bruce Bucster, Operations Manager Nikunj Panchal and HR Manager Saida Gurbanova.

 

       Welcoming the guests, Rector Elmar Gasimov extended his gratitude to SOCAR-KBR leadership for continuous support and providing the BHOS students with internship and employment opportunities. Addressing the undergraduates, SOCAR-KBR Director General Alp Togay Kurum told about the company’s latest developments, activities and new projects. He highly praised professional achievements attained by the BHOS graduates currently working at SOCAR-KBR and expressed confidence that the bilateral cooperation would successfully develop.

 

          David Ellis and Bruce Bucster made presentations covering projects on development of the Umid-Babek offshore gas field and the Absheron gas and condensate field. They also briefed the students about career growth prospects for young engineers working at SOCAR-KBR. HR Manager Saida Gurbanova provided information about the company’s internship and scholarship programs, and told about the HR policy and recruitment process. The meeting concluded with a question and answer session.

 

          During their visit, SOCAR-KBR Director General Alp Togay Kurum and other managers were given a tour around the BHOS campus and its facilities.
