ASAN Career Centre holds II Job Fair at Baku Higher Oil School
Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) hosted II Jab Fair, which was jointly organized by the Higher School and “ASAN Kadr” Career Center under the Volunteers School of ASAN Service on March 12, 2019. It was attended by Chairman of the Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service) Ulvi Mehdiyev, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov, and managers of local and international companies and organizations.
In his welcome address, Rector Elmar Gasimov emphasized that the Job Fair, which is conducted a second year in a row, brings positive changes to the lives of many young Azerbaijani citizens. In his words, it not only brings together top representatives looking for new staff members and young specialists looking for employment opportunities. The Job fair is a vivid example of the youth-focused and socially important project, which aims to address needs of young generation, said the Rector.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service) Ulvi Mehdiyev reported that “ASAN Kadr” Career Center set up its own web portal to provide services to unemployed youth. In his words, it helps hundreds of young people to find vacancies at companies operating in Azerbaijan and apply for jobs. Head of the ASAN Service expressed his gratitude to the BHOS management for their continuous support in conducting the Job Fair, which is organized by “ASAN Kadr” Career Center in cooperation with the Higher School.
The Job Fair is arranged to help young people to find suitable jobs in the private or public sector. It gave the visitors an opportunity to meet with HR specialists from various enterprises, and learn about their employment policies, recruitment procedures and available vacancies. Managers from more than 80 companies and organizations searching for talented and ambitious young professional participated in the event, which was arranged with support from Coca-Cola company.
Professional training of young citizens of the country is a key activity of the “ASAN Kadr” Career Center, which is established within ASAN Volunteers School infrastructure. By now, 1,100 young people have been employed after the graduation from the ASAN Career Centre.
