BHOS hosted tournament for movie-lovers titled «Where the Rainbow Ends»
Baku Higher Oil School hosted a tournament entitled “Where the Rainbow Ends”, which was held with organizational support from the BHOS Cinema Club and Intellectual Games Club. The tournament’s main objective was to raise students’ interest to cinema and help them to organize their leisure time. At the meeting with the tournament participants, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov welcomed this and similar social initiatives, which, in his words, contributes towards young people intellectual and cultural development.
In the course of the tournament, which was conducted in the format of “Hamse” national intellectual game titled, the students were required to answer various questions, demonstrate their knowledge of national and foreign movies, actors and soundtracks, and recognize films by pieces. In total, 21 teams participated in the tournament who competed in qualifying and group rounds to reach the semi-finals. Four out of eight teams made it to the finals and competed for prizes.
BHOS team titled “Bracket Bad”, which took the first place, became the tournament winner and receive a Cup. “Inferno”, “We are on a break” and “Wreck it, Zulu” teams took second, third and fourth places respectively. All winning teams were awarded medals.
