BHOS students undertake internship at Military Hospital of State Border Service
Professor of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), Head of Military Hospital of Azerbaijan’s State Border Service, Doctor of Medicine Kanan Yusifzade gives lessons at BHOS on the subject “Fundamentals of Civil Defense and Medical Aid” for fifth-year students of the Chemical Engineering and Petrochemical Engineering Departments.
During classes, the professor gives students information about the basics of civil defense and medical care, the rules of conduct in emergency situations, the use of protective equipment, conducting emergency rescue operations, and providing first aid to the injured.
Kyanan Yusif-zade conducts lessons based on the book “Fundamentals of Civil Defense and Medical Aid”, which he wrote as a textbook for fifth-year students of Baku Higher Oil School.
The main purpose of the lessons is to teach students to provide first aid in emergency situations.
As part of the “Fundamentals of Civil Defense and Medical Aid” program, students also undertake an internship at the Military Hospital of the State Border Service.
The program covers such areas as the organization of evacuation of people in case of natural disasters or military threats, the provision of emergency medical care, the use of personal and medical protective equipment, acquiring practical skills of rendering medical emergency care.
Note that since 2016, Kanan Yusifzade has been conducting classes on the subject “Fundamentals of Civil Defense and Medical Aid” for BHOS students majoring in Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering.
