When I was applying to universities in 2012, BHOS was just newly founded. It was announced that SOCAR will be collaborating with BHOS which built trust to the university from the very first days. I understood that the quality of education will be at the highest levels and will be combined with industrial experience throughout the years. The main point to highlight for me is the priceless experience-based learning approach that BHOS deployed. It helped me to apply my knowledge and learned materials each year during the summer period which made a huge difference in my professional development.

- BANM-də təhsil aldığınız müddətdə öyrəndiyiniz ən böyük təcrübə nə olmuşdur? Bunu gündəlik həyatınızda necə tətbiq edirsiniz?

The most valuable lesson for me was being able to take responsibility for every decision you make as an engineer. This helps me even today with my daily responsibilities at work and outside of it. I believe the responsible approach to decision-making is crucial for each engineer to deliver energy to the world safely.

- Bakalavrdan sonrakı təhsiliniz haqqında məlumat verə bilərsinizmi?

Currently, I do not have a postgraduate degree. I have decided to get industrial experience before continuing my education in the field. However, in the upcoming years I am planning to pursue my MSc degree.

- Hal-hazırki iş həyatınız barədə məlumat verə bilərsinizmi (vəzifə/şirkət/sahə)?

Currently, I am working as a senior drilling engineer for Oil and gas operations supervision Department at SOCAR Head Office. As drilling engineers, we are monitoring all phases of the operation, identifying areas that need improvement, and finding ways to apply new technologies for efficiency. We make sure that the drilling process is safe, efficient, and minimally disruptive to the environment.

- BANM -in sizi vəzifəyə yaxşı hazırladığını hiss edirsinizmi?

Knowledge and experience obtained in BHOS has a priceless contribution to what I do at my current work. Principles and techniques taught occurred to be the most modern and up-to-date information that helps to keep up with innovations but also conventional approaches.

I would like to refer to potential students thinking to apply to BHOS and state that if you have any interest in respective engineering field then go with it and apply to BHOS. You will get an ideal balance of theory, practice, and social skills, each of which is crucial in long-term success as a professional.
